The Art of Simplifying Weight Loss
Okay, so this is an unusual video I usually don’t talk about, but some of you may know that I was an athlete and obviously work professional sports teams. And I’ve been a body builder, personal trainer before I was a doctor. And one of the things that I run into with a lot of patients, especially those that are trying to lose weight, is that they have these urges to lose weight. And then all of a sudden, what do they do is they literally start every single thing they can think of, right?
They change their diet, they go and start exercising. They get the personal trainer, and after about two or three weeks, what happens is a lot of times they do not stay with it. And then they start kind of having a pity party because they tried this voyage of losing weight and so forth. And just because they overwhelmed themselves, they wind up failing. So typical advice, and I’ll do more videos about this, is that you’re just find one thing and be consistent. So if it’s walking, walk every day. If it’s dieting, make those changes. Consistency will get you there.
